Don’t you just love when things come back into style, years later? Leather jackets, Wallabees, wide-legged jeans… the list goes on and on! But I have to say my favorite comeback is Frye Boots. Known for their craftsmanship and unbeatable quality, the Frye Company has been around for over 150 years. What started as a solution to ease the aching feet of New England factory workers has transformed into a fashion icon. Luckily, quality was never compromised in this transition. The boots last forever! My roommate (now 22 years old) still wears a pair she bought in the 8th grade! Frye has undoubtedly made a comeback, and I’ve wanted a pair for some time now. I was SO thrilled when I found 6pm.com! This website has a huge variety of clothes, shoes, and accessories at a discounted price. There’s no tricks or gimmicks, everything is in perfect condition and has never been worn! Their selection of Frye boots is amazing, and I finally ordered a pair of Cavalrys! I’ve been waiting to bust these babies out until the weather got a little cooler (gotta love that late South Carolina transition into fall!) I finally had the chance to wear them yesterday, so I took them for a spin around campus!

Cocoon Coat – Solid Blanket Coat – Excursion Vest – Quilted Barn Vest
Often times I take advantage of my lunch break during my internship in Spartanburg to peruse through some of the stores downtown. This week I decided to pop into Old Navy. I hadn’t shopped there in a few months, and oh was I pleasantly surprised with what I found! I realized as I walked through the displays that much of Old Navy’s fall line is comparable to J.Crew! Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of J.Crew, but not always a fan of their prices! The Solid Blanket Coat is almost identical to J.Crew’s Stadium-Cloth Cocoon Coat, for a sixth of the price! UM, this one is a no-brainer! My favorite was the Quilted Barn Vest. Similar to the vest that every girl dreams about, in every color, hanging in their closet (sigh)…the J.Crew Excursion vest. Both are great, but ON’s is almost a third of the price!
So what will it be… J.Crew, or Old Navy? You decide!

The Fam (partially): My brother Sean, our Samoyed Noah, and me!
Hello to my first readers! Welcome to Lilly & Grant, the blog for women wanting to make a statement without breaking the bank. I’m Jenna Tropea, recent alumni of Presbyterian College and current graduate student at Clemson University in Greenville, SC. It’s pretty obvious to friends and family, but for those of you who don’t know me personally, fashion is my life. Whether I’m frantically flipping through magazines, swooning over the latest fashion blog finds, or spending countless hours at night browsing through Pinterest (Addicting, am I right?!) I’m constantly looking. Looking at what’s new, what’s out, and what other fashion-crazed women around the world like me are chatting about. After years and years of creating such a love for this industry, I realized something… There’s a problem. There’s an abundance of fashion blogs that advertise beautiful clothing and accessories, but a lot of it isn’t affordable. What about the girls who live on a budget? We can’t afford that $1,000 pair of Louboutins! Now don’t get me wrong, I love to splurge every once in a while, but usually that’s not the case. This is the purpose of my blog: shopping on a budget. There’s nothing like finding that perfect piece that allows you to express yourself through personal style, without sacrificing a month’s worth of rent! And what fun would it be to find these wonderful deals and steals without sharing the love? I can’t wait to post my findings as I learn and grow through Lilly & Grant. I can only hope that my readers will follow along and enjoy the ride with me! Enjoy!
