Hello readers, and happy Friday! I’m sure everyone is ready for the weekend. I know I am! My boyfriend and I are leaving for the beach tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited, especially since my tan is starting to fade away. I can’t let that happen just yet!
I mentioned the Tory Burch Private Sale on Twitter a few days ago and today is the very LAST day to shop the sale online! It is automatically accessible if you already receive daily emails from Tory Burch. If you don’t, it only takes a few seconds to sign up! Trust me, it’s worth it. These are a few of my favorite picks from the sale. I can’t wait to see this wallet that I just ordered!
This quote has held so much significance over the past few weeks. I’ve come to realize that no matter what, and for whatever reason, people are going to say hateful things. Whether it’s driven by anger, or even jealousy, there’s always someone out there that’s not going to like what I’m doing. I used to get so caught up in what other people thought and cared way too much about their opinions. But over the past year, I’ve realized that I don’t have to justify every decision I make, whether that’s a major life decision or something as small as an outfit choice. I’m confident in myself and that’s all that matters.
Here’s the problem with short hair. I really love having a short hair style, mostly because I already have the face of a 16 year-old and long hair makes me look even younger. BUT it’s so difficult to recreate loose waves like this. My friend Jamie and I both have angled bob haircuts and are trying to find the best way to do this without frying our hair off. Straighteners are too hot and always leave a weird smell in my hair. I’ve tried multiple strategies with a curling iron, the best so far being curling my hair around the barrel instead of through it… but it still doesn’t create the same effect. Does anyone have any tips? If so, please share!
This is by far my favorite summer drink and I had to share with you all. I was searching Pinterest for some new drink ideas and found a New York Times article about three-ingredient summer cocktails. I’m sort of a baby in that I can’t handle dark liquor, so this white rum recipe was perfect!
3/4 ounce simple syrup
3 cherries, pitted and halved
Half a lime, cut in quarters
2 ounces white rum
That’s all it takes! Enjoy! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
