First of all, a little disclaimer here. I’m SO sorry for the weird quality of these photos. Ed and I drove to this location to shoot and I totally forgot my DSLR camera! Luckily, my iPhone saved the day (thank goodness for that new iPhone camera quality) but unfortunately the quality just isn’t the same on the web.
Okay, enough of that! What do you guys think about the puff sleeve trend? It’s huge right now but honestly, it’s a tough trend to style in real life. There’s a fine line between looking cute and straight up looking like Anne of Green Gables. If you have no idea what I’m talking about… you’re welcome.
I have 2 tips on styling this trend. The first is to just be realistic. Something may look cute on a model online or a mannequin in a store, but ask yourself… am I REALLY going to wear this out in public, or will I admire it from a hanger in my closet? I’m saying this from personal experience because I purchased a different puff sleeve top a few weeks ago and decided later on that I would never wear it outside of the house because it was just too much. So… don’t do what I did and waste your money!
My second tip is that if you’re going to go for it and try the trend, wear it in a way that’s most comfortable for you. I don’t wear a lot of outfits that are super feminine, so for me, styling this puff sleeve top with jeans and mules made me feel like I can wear this outfit anywhere!
