Instagram Lately

Happy Hump Day! If you follow me on Instagram, you get a tiny glimpse into my day to day life and what’s new in my closet. Here’s a little roundup of recent posts as well as a few FAQs:

I’m getting so much wear out of this Sheinside coat. Technically, this piece is labeled as a “Lapel Coat” but in my opinion, it more accurately resembles an oversized blazer. I’m normally a size small but I’m wearing an XS here. A lot of people ask about fit for this website and it largely depends on the item. I always look at the size reference before I order anything, especially if something is “One Size”. The quality is great compared to the price. I also love and wear this dusty pink coat and this loose sweater all the time.

One of my favorite things to do on a Sunday afternoon is making  flower runs to Trader Joe’s. They have the best selection, especially around this time of year! I bought this moto jacket during the summer and have worn it well into fall and winter. Unfortunately, I can’t find the exact jacket anywhere, but this one and this one are very similar!

I’ve never worn anything like this cape before, which is probably why I love it so much. I went with a combined edgy + feminine look by adding ripped denim and classic heels. Can you tell it was warm that day? And to think, we had snow only two weeks prior!

I’m (unfortunately) a concealer fanatic! I’m cursed with blue, distinct under-eye bags due to allergies and genetics. I’ve tried every concealer under the sun, and none have ever completely concealed the blue hue… Until I tried NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. This without a doubt has provided me the most long-lasting coverage. I do suggest using a setting powder afterwards because it’s so creamy. This one is my favorite (and has excellent ratings too).

Two things: I finally found a top knot tutorial for medium (and apparently fine because mine DEFINITELY is) hair and I’m SO pumped. Seriously… I’ve worn my hair like this almost every day – or at least part of the day – since I stumbled upon it on Pinterest. You can find that video here, it’s super easy and literally takes just as long as it does to make a ponytail.

Secondly, I’ve received a lot of questions about the lip color I’m wearing (I’m also wearing it in the first photo). It’s Colour Pop Cosmetics liquid lipstick in ‘Clueless’. It goes on creamy and dries as a matte lipstick, and it’s the perfect mauve shade. I wear it almost daily and it stays on forever! Plus, it’s only $5 so you really can’t go wrong with that!

The Genie Lace Up Pumps from Topshop are a new favorite addition to my closet. They run a little large so make sure you order a half size up. They also come in black and leopard print, so cute! This is definitely a fresh take on the traditional nude heel and will transition so well into spring!
