NYFW Greenwich Village

My favorite spot during my weekend at NYFW was definitely Greenwich Village. We walked over the day of my RewardStyle + LIKEtoKNOW.it event and knew immediately it would be the perfect spot for a quick shoot. It still amazes me when I think about how entering that part of the city was like entering a completely different world. The detail on each townhouse was so intricate and beautiful, I could have stared at them forever. Also, everything is so calm and QUIET, which is ridiculously weird for NYC. The reason I have a weird smirk on my face in these photos is because I was actually terrified that the owner of the townhouse we were shooting near would come out and yell at us for trespassing. Luckily no one bothered us and we practically had the entire stretch of beautiful sidewalk to ourselves.

I wore this Yumi Kim wrap dress to the event and loved every second of wearing it. I scoured the shops of Charlotte for days before finding this dress and thinking, “Yep, this is definitely it!” The material is so soft and it was the perfect dress for the weird mixture of weather we had that weekend: wind, rain and humidity. I can see myself wearing this dress to all kinds of events in the future, including weddings. I really love the solid black version as well, because what type of event could you NOT wear this for?!
