October 2019 Mood Board

Hi, friends! Long time, no see. Thank you for being so patient with me over the past month. If you missed it on Instagram, Ed and I recently moved from Charlotte, NC to Bradenton, FL so most of my time has been devoted to settling into our new home! I have to say, moving was the best decision we ever made. Living on the coast has introduced a whole new perspective to L&G, and I can’t wait to share more fashion, interior, and lifestyle inspiration with you!

I thought it would be fun to share something brand new since it has been a month since I’ve published a post. My monthly mood boards will give you an idea of how I pull inspiration for L&G. They’re a melting pot of ideas from Pinterest, brands I love, fashion houses, and more. They will also include brands that are new to me and pieces that I’m loving at the moment.

  1. Pinterest is my go-to for interior design inspiration. It’s also the best way to discover new brands, which is how I was introduced to McGee & Co this week. Their pieces are relaxed, neutral, and a little coastal. I ordered a few pieces immediately like this shower curtain and this cute wooden pedestal for one of our guest bathrooms.
  2. Something I really love about our new home is that Ed and I have our own offices, which is perfect since we both work from home now. I have thoroughly enjoyed pulling together decor ideas for my space. Etsy is full of amazing art and prints and I spotted this one that will be perfect in my office. Did I mention that the print is only $6?
  3. I have always admired Cuyana for their brand focus on sustainability and a “fewer is better” mindset. If you’re interested in introducing more sustainable brands to your closet, this should be one of them. I love their new pieces for fall, including this croc-embossed mini bucket bag. I’m not typically drawn to anything with the word “croc” or “snakeskin” attached to it, but for whatever reason I can’t resist this bag! It’s the perfect combination of feminine and tomboy.
  4. Street style has always been a source of style inspiration for me, especially of french and Australian women. Their outfits are so chic AND laid back without trying too hard. I love that these women are combining neutral, comfortable sweaters with high-waisted jeans and open shoes… which is exactly the kind of outfits I need inspiration for now that I love in a warmer climate.
  5. If you’re a long-time L&G follower, you know how much I love FashionPhile to purchase pre-loved luxury pieces. I have purchased every designer bag I own on this website. Their customer service – in my opinion – is unmatched. Did you know that you can also purchase vintage items on FP? Lately, I’ve been really drawn to vintage Chanel earrings. Something about the thought of a chunky gold Chanel earring (like these) with a cozy knit is very appealing! FP has an amazing selection of vintage Chanel earrings for reasonable prices. Plus, you can always reserve them if you want to pay over time!
  6. I had to share this pair too because they’re so beautiful! How pretty is the sunburst design? Something else to keep in mind… these would make an amazing holiday gift for someone in your life that loves vintage jewelry!
  7. M.Gemi is an Italian shoe brand that I was introduced to a few years ago. Every pair is handmade and the quality is incredible. If you don’t believe me, take a look at the customer reviews on their website, it’s impressive. I’ve worn their flats religiously and LOVE the new Sirene flat. The woven detail combined with leather and a slingback makes my dream shoe. I have been lucky enough to work with M.Gemi over the past two years, and because of that, I can offer you guys a special code for first time buyers! You can take $60 off your order with code JENNAT60
  8. The Outnet is a website that’s new to me and I have been stalking them every day, no joke! It’s a great place to find designer pieces at a discounted price. I’m a denim girl, so I tend to look for jeans like this pair of cropped denim by Frame. I mean, look at that price difference! You can’t beat it.
