Fall is my favorite time of year to plan trips with Ed. We’re lucky enough to live an hour away from the mountains, so we go as much as possible. There’s nothing better than making that scenic drive to our favorite cozy little towns, especially when the leaves are changing. North Carolina foliage is spectacular in October – with hues of red, orange and yellow that spread as far as the eye can see. It’s every Autumn lover’s dream.
Half the fun of weekend trips is planning for them! I love relaxing at home with a glass of wine, packing my favorite comfy knit sweaters and burning a fall candle to really get me in the mood to travel. My favorite lately is the Bridgewater Candle Company’s Weekend Getaway candle. It’s aptly named because the scent really reminds me of all things fall! The scent spreads incredibly well and adds an extra level of coziness to any room.

My favorite weekend getaway is visiting my family and friends in my hometown that is about 4-5 hours from where I live now.
Living in Houston, Texas, we have a small wine town about 4 hours away! When the temps get cooler my husband and I like to go visit the wineries and sit outside and sip our wine! Cooler as in under 90 degrees 🙂
Just discovered you on bridgewater Instagram post. I have a fall getaway planned for first weekend in November in southern Missouri area. Should be perfect for fall foliage. And my favorite Bridgwater candles are set aside to pack. So looking forward to it.

I don’t have a favorite weekend getaway. It if I did have one it would be to go to Ocean Springs Miss. And spent the weekend at the Roost, a beautiful resort! Their rooms look like Joanna Gained decorated them!

My favorite weekend getaway is to New Orleans, LA. Staying at the Roosevelt during Christmas is an absolute dream! And the street performers during the summer are hard to beat! ♥️
My favorite weekend getaway is visiting a lovely farmers market or festivals; especially this time of year. To go pick out something cozy to bring home and spend the evening cuddled in a blanket drinking coffee or hot tea with a baked treat is my kind of weekend!
